The brand was born more than 30 years ago in the small mountain village of re, where three skiing enthusiasts, professional skier Stefan Engström, Peter Blom, the editor-in-chief of Sweden's biggest ski magazine, and designer Christer Mrtenssen, came together with a common goal of producing attractively designed, high-quality, and functional ski clothing.

Initially, they crafted clothes for themselves and friends; however, shortly thereafter, the small project turned into a big venture, which is now the largest Scandinavian brand for functional sports fashion wear.

Besides a passion for sports, Peak Performance emphasizes incorporating a love for nature into its products. The brand aspires to long-term environmental conservation, which is why they focus on employing sustainable production methods and environmentally friendly production techniques. But also animal welfare has a crucial role; therefore, mulesing and live-plucking, as well as stuffing mast in the down production, are forbidden.

Peak Performance outdoor products are gaining global recognition primarily because, apart from functionality and high quality, the brand also prioritizes stylish yet simple design. Peak Performance's success in skiing, touring, and mountaineering instigated further progress in extreme sports.
