People-centred designing
Products are designed to surround us all and range from the smallest to the largest. This free course, People-Centered Design, focuses firmly on the usability and increasingly important phenomenon of people-centered design. It is intended to inform design consumers about this important feature of design. In addition to stimulating interest in design manufacturers' areas of interest, the course can also provide an introduction to engineering, manufacturing and business studies.
After taking this course, you will be able to:
- Apply knowledge and understanding of the principles of user-centered design to practice
- Suggest and apply some appropriate methods to study how users interact with the product
- Apply comparison and evaluation skills, including constructive criticism, to everyday products
- Apply observational skills in the context of product use by both individuals and others.
