Photography Capstone Project Offered By Michigan State University

The Capstone Project is your chance to apply what you've learned about photography so far to create a meaningful project of ten well-formed photographs based on your passion for artistic expression, or a subject for documentary exploration, insightful portraiture, imaging for work-related subjects, or another aspect of photography. Maybe, it'll be a creation you'll be proud to show off to your fellow Learners. You should expect to devote more time per week to this Course than to any other in this Specialization, with the majority of that time spent photographing.

You and your other learners will assist each other as you work independently throughout the development process by sharing your work-in-progress from the first Project Plan to the final Portfolio. All Learners will share comments and recommendations with one another at each stage, assisting one another in gauging progress and learning about various approaches to photography and content. You will be building your own criteria of excellence by expressing your own opinions and expectations about quality in response to the work of others.

Several opportunities for exchanging photographs and ideas will be available throughout the way, thanks to a properly built Peer Review system. This interesting learning experience of sharing photographs and comments with peers, as well as commenting on their comments on your photos, will help you grow in understanding of your own and others' photography. Your contributions to fellow Learners' comments will not only help them better understand their photographs, but they will also allow you to practice using the vocabulary of terms related to techniques, design principles, and content approaches that you have acquired through your success in each of the previous Modules.
