Pico San Juan, popularly known as Cuca, is a hilly area in the Cumanayagua municipality of Cienfuegos province. It is 3,740 feet above sea level and features a meteorological radar station on its summit.
On the Escambray Mountain Range, it is the highest summit. Pico San Juan is known for its steep slopes formed by skeletal soil. The mountain is dominated by ferns and big trees, forming an evergreen, humid tropical forest.
The mountain has a diverse wildlife, including some endemic and endangered species. Livestock husbandry, coffee cultivation, and forestry are some of the other economic activities that take place around the mountain.
