Poweramp

Poweramp is one of Android's most popular and functional local music players. It contains nearly all of the features, including high-resolution audio compatibility, Android Auto, an equalizer, gapless smoothing, and support for almost every audio codec available.

The user interface has a little learning curve, but it's one of the more visually appealing music players available in the Google Play Store, with various themes. There are other excellent music applications on our list, but the #1 spot is undoubtedly Poweramp's to lose. If you want a better equalization app, Poweramp also offers one.
