Prime Video
Amazon Prime is a no-brainer for people who conduct the majority of their shopping online. You get free two-day delivery on all purchases, a free Kindle book every month, and unlimited access to both Amazon Music and Amazon Prime Video for $139 (previously $119) a year. Amazon Prime Video, like Netflix, offers a wonderful menu of movies, television shows, and original programming (the best Amazon shows range from The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and The Man in the High Castle to Reacher and The Boys). However, unlike Netflix, Prime Video's new series appear to be few and far between, as its output rates don't quite match those of Netflix or HBO Max.
The Boys, Amazon Prime Video's biggest success, grew its audience significantly in season 2 and got its own spin-off. What you might not like about Prime Video is how different its apps are across different platforms. You may find fewer sorting and discovery options on Roku, Apple TV, and Chromecast than you did on Fire TV devices when testing Prime Video. Amazon Prime Video also lets you rent or buy movies, but that's an a la carte option. Check out the Fire Stick guide if you're trying to figure out how to use your Amazon streaming device.
