RatPac-Dune Entertainment
Brett Ratner and billionaire James Packer founded RatPac Entertainment in 2012. RatPac-Dune Entertainment LLC, a four-year, 75-movie co-financing deal with Warner Bros., was founded in September 2013 by RatPac and Dune. RatPac inked a contract in December 2013 to finance films as part of a production partnership between Plan B Entertainment and New Regency, that would begin on January 1, 2014. With the purchase of James Packer's ownership portion in April 2017, RatPac became a subsidiary of Access Entertainment.
RatPac develops and finances a number of award-winning feature length theatrical documentaries and shorts through its RatPac Documentary Films label, including the Peabody Award-winning and Emmy nominated Holocaust documentary Night Will Fall, Author: The JT LeRoy Story, and Leonardo DiCaprio's Before The Flood, which chronicles his campaign to raise global awareness about the dangers of climate change in his role as a UN Ambassador of Peace.
