Universal Pictures is an NBCUniversal subsidiary and one of the world's top five film studios. Universal Pictures, founded in 1912 by Carl Laemmle, is one of America's oldest film studios.

The firm has produced approximately 250 films in many genres, each with its own distinct and varied topics. As a result, this studio continues to draw a great number of fans of all ages from all around the world. Jurassic World, Minions, Despicable Me, King Kong, Fast & Furious, The Secret Life of Pets, and others are some of the studio's well-known and popular films.

At the 80th Academy Awards, Universal Pictures' "Atonement" received six nominations, including Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress for Ronan, Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Film Music. In addition, the film received 14 nominations for the 61st BAFTA Awards and won the category of Best Drama at the 65th Golden Globe Awards.
