Raw

"Raw," a French-Belgian horror drama film directed by Julia Ducournau, revolves around Justine, a young and introverted vegetarian who starts her first year at a prestigious veterinary school. Justine comes from a family of veterinarians, including her parents and older sister Alexia, who is already a student at the same school.

During the school's intense hazing rituals, Justine is forced to eat raw meat as part of an initiation rite. This traumatic event triggers a sudden and disturbing change in her behavior and cravings. Soon, she develops an insatiable hunger for flesh, which escalates into an uncontrollable craving for raw human meat. Consumed by her newfound desires, Justine struggles to reconcile her morality and her newfound carnal instincts.

"Raw" became popular for its unique take on complex psychological and societal themes. Coupled with powerful performances from the cast (especially Garance Marillier as Justine), the film's unapologetic and provocative approach to storytelling earned it both praise and controversy, making it a cult favorite among horror enthusiasts and one of the best cannibal movies.
