Daphne International Holdings Limited was founded in 1987 and listed on the Main Board of The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited in 1995. As on September 11, 2006, it is also a component stock of the Hang Sang Composite Mainland Index. The Group's primary activities are the production, promotion, and distribution of footwear, apparel, and accessories under its own brands, licensed brands, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) contracts.
Its primary markets are the United States and China. The Group began doing business in China in 1990, launching the "Daphne" brand, which has since become one of the most popular among Chinese women. Over 4,000 stores under the "Daphne," "Shoebox," "Arezzo," "Sofft," and "Born" brands are currently being operated by the Group across Mainland China and Taiwan.
