Relax at New York Public Library
This main branch, formally known as the Stephen A. Schwarzman Building, draws a sizable number of book lovers, history buffs, and lovers of architecture. The majority of visitors stop by the famous monument in Bryant Park to say hello to Patience and Fortitude, the stone lions guarding the entrance, and to take in the exquisite beaux-arts architecture.
An extensive collection of maps, as well as particular collections of English and American literature, English Romanticism, and rare books, are available if you're in the mood to read. From 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. The branch is open from Monday through Saturday and is open until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
