Reuters is one of the world's largest news organizations. This international news organization is owned by Thomson Reuters. In about 200 locations throughout the world, it employs around 2,500 journalists and 600 photojournalists. Paul Reuter, a German immigrant, founded the agency in London in 1851. It was purchased by Thomson Corporation in 2008 and is now part of Thomson Reuters' media division.
