The Royalton's dark, glam main-level lounge is a favorite among midtown professionals. It was completely redone in 2007 by Roman and Williams, the company responsible for the eccentric décor of Ace Hotel New York. From the hotel's American bistro, Forty Four, which is most known for its seasonal cocktails, guests will receive free coffee and cappuccino.

At the horseshoe-shaped bar, you can sip a Sorrento Sunrise while relaxing in a leather chair next to the bronze fireplace. The large rooms have mahogany furniture and a calming color scheme of slate-gray. An iPad with free Wi-Fi, a flat-screen HD TV, a minibar, and on-demand spa services are among the in-room benefits. The typical bathroom has a circular Roman tub with a five-foot diameter (there are no tubs on floors 11 through 14). From October through April, you may warm up by a blazing fire after a soak—the majority of rooms have wood-burning fireplaces.
