Saint Jude Catholic School (SJCS)
Saint Jude Catholic School (SJCS) is a private Catholic educational institution, dedicated to providing quality education under the auspices of the Society of the Word of God in the Central Philippine Province. Located next to Malacañang Palace, SJCS is a bilingual haven, offering instruction in English, Mandarin and Filipino.
Serving students from Kindergarten through High School, SJCS boasts a comprehensive range of programs, including the International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (IBDP). With a history that dates back to its founding in July 1963 by Chinese priests Fr. Peter Tsao, SVD, Fr. Peter Yang, SVD and Fr. Charles Tchou, SJCS draws inspiration from the life and teachings of its patron saint, Saint Jude Thaddeus.
Spread across a 2.5-hectare campus, SJCS has four main buildings - Preparatory School Building, S.J. Building, Fr. Peter Yang Building and the new Fu Shen Fu Building. The campus is not only an educational center but also home to the Saint Jude Thaddeus National Shrine. Sports facilities, including a basketball stadium, badminton and volleyball courts and a gym, provide students with many opportunities for physical development.
The school adopts a trilingual approach, fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment. Transfer students are welcome but must pass an entrance exam. Offering both a High School education and an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program (DP), SJCS prepares students for higher education in academic areas such as ABM, STEM and HUMSS.
In addition to academics, SJCS encourages students to participate in a variety of activities, including the Christian Community, Student Government, Performance Groups, Publications, and Athletic teams. From badminton and table tennis to swimming and chess, Sportsfest provides a platform for students to showcase their sporting prowess.
