Sana’a Summer Festival

Every year in July, this month-long festival begins with a series of events in the capital city. The event kicks off with a massive carnival at Bab al-Yemen, the Old City's main gate. Many people attend the carnival and perform traditional folkloric dances as well as engage in a fashion show to showcase the country's traditional apparel.

Throughout the month-long festival, many events take place in parks, theaters, historical attractions, and on the streets of Sana'a. The festival's main focus is on the country's handicrafts and industrial items, with women's crafts being particularly interesting.
