SBA Communications Corporation (SBA) is a privately held company that owns and operates wireless infrastructure such as towers, buildings, rooftops, distributed antenna systems (DAS), and small cells. Wireless technologies that keep people, businesses and municipalities linked are supported by the SBA. Antennas and towers are leased by the company to wireless communications operators.
Site Leasing and Site Development are the two divisions of SBA Communications. It leases antenna space to wireless service providers on towers also owns or operates, and it administers rooftop and tower sites for property owners under a variety of contractual agreements. It owns 30,000 towers in North and South America as of 2020. Brazil is the company's largest market, with over 10,000 towers. Approximately 4,800 real or potential towers were also managed or leased by the firm.
It also offers network pre-design, site audits, and identification of potential tower and antenna locations, as well as assistance in purchasing or leasing the property, obtaining zoning approvals and permits, tower structure construction, antenna installation, and radio equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
