In this drama, Park Bo Young plays the role of Hwang Jeong Nam, the reluctant daughter of Nam Hyeon Soo (Cha Tae Hyun). He works as a DJ radio broadcaster. He is very rich and well-known so Nam Hyeon Soo is terrified of controversy. Unfortunately, one day, a woman claiming to be a single mother named Hwang Jeong-Nam (Park Bo-young) called to join the show and said that she had found her lost father, and wanted to ask Hyeon-soo if she should see her father again. Hyeon-soo advises her to find her father, so the next day Hwang Jeong Nam with her son named Ki Dong comes to Hyeon Soo's and tells her that he is her father and Ki Dong is his grandson. The 108-minute film by Kang Hyeong Cheol - the director, has earned several accolades. Park Bo Young was honored with the following accolades: the Blue Dragon Film Award for Best New Actress, the Baeksang Art Award for Favorite Movie Actress, and the Baeksang Art Award for Actress Best Newcomer in the Film Category. In the first week of its release in Korea, the film had 473,725 viewers. With ticket sales of 8 million, Scandal Makers became the highest-viewed movie of 2008.
