Schwan-Stabilo
Revenue is about 610 million euros, more than 4,500 employees, 22 sites around the world. Schwan-Stabilo is one of the most successful family-owned companies in Germany today.
Gustav Adam Schwanhäusser laid the foundation for the company's success in 1865. He quickly recognized the opportunities presented by the burgeoning Industrial Revolution, receiving a 32,000 guild loan from his father and purchased a pencil factory established in 1855 in Nuremberg. More than 160 years and five generations later, this has become an international corporation with three independent divisions: Cosmetics, Writing Instruments and Outdoors.
Today, as in the past, entrepreneurial courage, foresight and knowledge of what is possible are the main foundations of a company's success.
Stabilo is their stationery brand and one of the top 10 stationery brands in the world operating their writing supplies division which includes fountain pens, ballpoint pens, roller and gel pens, graphite pencils , colored pencils, fine markers, markers, colored pencils and pastels in their relative's products.
Other brands of the Schwan-Stabilo Group include cosmetics company Schwan Cosmetics and outdoor brands Deuter, Ortovox, Maier Sports and Gonso.
