Obama worked as the University of Chicago's associate dean of student services before joining the Hospitals, where she created the institution's first office for community outreach. She joined the Hospitals in 2002 and established initiatives for local engagement, volunteer recruitment, staff diversity, and minority contracting very fast.


Michelle Obama began her career in 2002 as the Executive Director for Community Affairs at the University of Chicago Hospitals, a prestigious academic medical institution situated in Hyde Park on Chicago's South Side. It is one of the most significant accomplishments of Michelle Obama Michelle. She immediately established programs for Community Relations, Neighborhood Outreach, Volunteer Recruitment, Staff Diversity, and Minority Contracting in her capacity by giving each initiative her full attention, creativity, and passion.
