Shoppers Drug Mart
Canadian retail pharmacy business Shoppers Drug Mart (also known as Pharmaprix in Quebec) has its headquarters in Toronto, Canada. Over 1,300 shops are scattered in ten provinces and two territories of the nation.
The firm was established in 1962 by pharmacist Murray Koffler. The Koffler family still owns the Super-Pharm pharmacy, which includes facilities in Israel, Poland, and previously in China. The logo of Super-Pharm is identical to that of Shoppers Drug Mart (painter Sylvain Liu designed it). Some of the same private-label brands, including Life Brand and Quo, are used to produce the new product.
Shoppers Drug Mart was purchased for $12.5 billion in cash and equity by Loblaw Companies, located in Brampton, Ontario, in 2014. By the beginning of 2016, Shoppers had more than 1,300 sites throughout Canada. In addition, the firm owns and manages several specialty services and store outlets. These include Shoppers Home Health stores (now known as "Wellwise by Drug Mart"), which market and deliver assisted-living gadgets, household goods, mobility, and hospital instruments.
