Slam (2016)

Unlike the other films on the list, this one concentrates on the experience of parenthood. Nicholas Hornby's novels, 'High Fidelity' and 'About a Boy,' have been made into films owing to his unique ability to convey stories about children in an honest manner. Another similar story is 'Slam,' which was adapted for the cinema by Italian director Andrea Molaioli.

The film explores the story of adolescent pregnancy from a unique perspective. Sam, 16, looks up to Tony Hawk and has high hopes for himself. Becoming a father is most certainly not one of them. He falls in love with Alicia after meeting her at a party hosted by her mother's acquaintance. They start an affair, and after a while, Alicia informs him that she is pregnant. How will Sam handle the matter now? Should he go or stay and accept responsibility?
