Slam Dunk
Slam Dunk is without a doubt one of the best sports manga series of all time. Hanamichi Sakuragi, a delinquent, is the protagonist of the story. He had two thoughts after his first day of high school: "I hate basketball" and "I need a girlfriend." That all changes when Hanamichi meets Haruko Akagi, a girl who is impressed by his incredible physical attributes. Although he was initially uninterested in the sport, he eventually joined and learned more about its complexities. Basketball soon transforms his life, instilling passion in him like he's never known it before.
When someone writes about something they are passionate about and conveys that passion through characters who are equally passionate about it, it is difficult not to feel or develop a passion for it within themselves.
