SONG DA CORPORATION

Song Da Corporation was previously founded as a state-owned enterprise in 1961. On March 26th, 2018, Song Da Corporation officially transformed from a state-owned corporation model to a joint-stock company. Over 58 years of establishment and operation, the Corporation keeps focusing on its main business activities such as the construction of civil works, manufacture of power plants, infrastructure, transport, industrial plants, and supply of construction materials and equipment; construction technology, and real estate business.

Song Da is ranked as one of Vietnam's leading contractors in the construction of underground works, civil works which have been carried out hundreds of kilometers of tunnels. With its huge labor force of approximately 15,000 staff and skilled workers, among which nearly 3,000 managers and technical staffs are university graduates or postgraduates, Song Da is confident to supply its expert services to any adversity project.

Throughout its development history, Song Da Corporation has been the main contractor for most hydropower projects in Vietnam, such as Son La Hydropower - the largest hydroelectric project in Southeast Asia, Hoa Binh Hydropower, Lai Chau Hydropower, Huoi Quang Hydropower. Song Da Corporation also makes a role of EPC contractor for some other projects such as Tuyen Quang, Sesan 3, etc.

Song Da has contributed 85% of the domestic market share in hydropower construction projects, becoming the largest contractor in this field in Vietnam. Song Da Corporation also expanded its operations to Laos with Xekaman 1 hydropower projects including Xekaman Sanxay, Xekaman 3, Xekaman 4, Namthuen, etc.

Song Da is among the leading contractors in Vietnam in the construction of underground works, and traffic works. The corporation has carried out the construction of more than hundreds of kilometers of tunnels, especially the Hai Van tunnel with the NATM construction method. Other traffic projects such as Lang Hoa Lac expressway, National Highway 1A, Highway 10, National Highway 18, Ho Chi Minh Road, Hai Van Road Tunnel, Pass Ngang Road Tunnel, Road Tunnel Ca pass, construction of high-speed rail in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

In addition to the above, many industrial projects have been successfully implemented by the Corporation, such as Ha Long Cement Factory, But Son Cement Factory, Bai Bang Paper Factory, and Minh Phuong Textile Factory.
