"SOTUS" is a 2016 Thai drama series that was produced and helmed by Uphold Tradition. In the university where the program is set, senior citizens known as "hazing committees" are in charge of initiating and intimidating new students. The plot centers on the romance between the two major characters, Arthit and Kongpop, who had extremely different upbringings. Kongpop, a laid-back freshman who initially rejects hazing, contrasts with Arthit, a senior who is disciplined and stern.

As the two characters become more intimate, they confront their own personal demons and negotiate the complicated power dynamics at work in the university. The program examines issues of power, friendship, and the difficulties of growing up in a cutthroat society.

Since "SOTUS" was a commercial and critical success, a follow-up series called "SOTUS S: The Series" was created in 2017. The program received plaudits for its progressive topics and favorable portrayal of LGBTQ+ characters, both of which at the time were firsts for Thai television.

In general, "SOTUS" is a gripping and provocative drama that addresses significant topics regarding power, friendship, and identity. It is essential viewing for anybody interested in modern Thai culture because of its widespread appeal and influence on Thai television, both of which highlight the value of variety and representation in media.
