Sanatoriums are resort-style facilities that offer spa services, medical attention, and a place to rest and recover. Sanatoriums have long been a part of Soviet society, and when Communism spread to other nations, the tradition followed. The concept behind them remains the same, even though the majority of contemporary places are now referred to as "spas": come here for treatments like saunas, massages, oxygen therapy, mud baths, and more.
