Sports and fun activities
Tonga is the ideal destination if you wish to go diving or snorkeling while traveling. That is one of the reasons to visit Tonga. The underwater world of the coral reefs, some of which are protected, is waiting for you. Excellent diving locations can be found in the Vavau group of islands, which is north of the main island. Sailors are huge fans of the archipelago. Foreigners and Tonga boats reach the harbor of the main town Neiafu during the peak season, which runs from May to October. Active tourists take use of the kayaking and canoeing opportunities and release some steam while kitesurfing. On Tongatapu, the blowholes of Houma are a worthwhile adventure site. The coral coast's pierced rocks spray seawater up to 20 meters high during high tide, creating an amazing natural display.
Consider swimming with shoals of fish while snorkeling in a cave or scuba diving in the biggest sea cave in the South Pacific. You can find a huge variety of snorkeling and scuba diving spots in Tonga. Shipwrecks, drop-offs, pinnacles, caves, coral reefs, tunnels, and coral reefs... All of it is present in Tonga's crystal-clear waters!
