Sprite
According to Rock Hill Coca-Cola, Sprite has been around for a very long time and has roots in Germany since 1959. When it first arrived in the United States two years later, it was known as Clear Lemon Fanta before changing to Sprite. With a younger generation, it gained appeal in the 1960s, and for good cause. According to Snack History, the crisp flavor pairs well with a mixture of lemon and lime and naturally makes for the ideal mixer in a cool cocktail.
It's a soda people typically use to make a chilled white wine spritzer for a summertime outdoor party, but it also goes well with red wine. Simply combine red wine and Sprite over ice, and if you have some lemon or mint on hand, garnish with those as well. Stick with a fruity red wine, such as Shiraz or a blend, advises A Communal Table, so it's not too heavy but rather light and pleasant.
