Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje

The Saints Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje is the country's oldest and largest public university. It is named after the Byzantine Christian missionaries and theologians Cyril and Methodius. The university has a total of 25,220 students enrolled for the 2018–19 school year. Furthermore, there are 2,390 members of the teaching and research staff, who are supported by over 300 members of the university's institutions.

The primary language of instruction is Macedonian, but a variety of courses are offered in English, German, French, and Italian. There are also courses in Albanian, the second official language of North Macedonia.

The mission of Ss. Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje is to be:

• autonomous, scientific, and higher educational university that provides teaching, scholar, and applied activities in technical, natural sciences and mathematics, bio-technical, artistic, medical, and social sciences;
