St. Vincent And The Grenadines Community College
The four divisions of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College (SVGCC) were officially merged into a single, self-governing entity in 2005. Previously, the divisions operated as separate, distinct colleges, each governed by the Ministry of Education of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The four colleges were merged into one institution and given the statutory mandate to be autonomous of government management as part of the government's push for universal access to education.
St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College promotes learners' holistic development by providing tertiary education that enables them to contribute proactively to a changing society, function effectively in the workplace, and pursue further studies. St. Vincent and the Grenadines Community College will be a regional leader in tertiary education, training, research, innovation, and lifelong learning, producing graduates who can function effectively in modern globalized society.
The college now has over 2000 students and is still in the process of expanding and developing. New buildings are being built to house the growing student population; the college's programs are constantly expanding, with something new being offered with each new academic year; lecturers at the college are exposed to an ever-expanding array of professional development opportunities; the college's outreach sector is constantly expanding to ensure that every Vincentian has access to our services.
