Steelcase's growth and maturity have led this office furniture manufacturing company to soon become one of the world's largest and most prestigious furniture brands. Steelcase's first patent was a metal dustbin that kept office workers safe. In crowded cities where fires spread quickly, the replacement of steel materials was a lifesaver innovation.
