Stroll through Heisler Park in Laguna Beach
Heisler Park is one of the first sites to visit in Laguna Beach, which is one of Orange County's prettiest coastal towns. This beachfront park, which stretches from Aster Street to Diver's Cove along the cliffs on Cliff Drive, has walking trails, gardens, a marine refuge with tidal pools, picnic tables, barbecues, and lawn bowling greens.
It's in the lively downtown district, just off the Pacific Coast Highway. The park provides glimpses of the ocean that are nothing short of works of beauty, in addition to decorative pathways and landscaping. Several sets of steps lead down to the beach throughout the park, and one set leads down to the sprawling Main Beach on the south end. A wooden boardwalk runs alongside this long stretch of beach, which is popular with locals and celebrities alike. Consider dining at Las Brisas, which specializes in seafood-inspired dishes (breakfast, lunch & dinner daily, Sunday brunch). Or visit the elegant Laguna Cliffs Inn or the premium Inn at Laguna Beach if you plan to stay in Laguna Beach for more than a day.
