Malibu has nearly legendary reputation among Californian beach towns, stretching for more than 30 miles along the Pacific and Highway One. Hollywood stars and top athletes reside at oceanfront homes on extensive stretches of sand, enjoying front-row seats to surfing and spectacular sunsets.

Malibu is a gorgeous city on the Southern California coast for many reasons. The city's closeness to Los Angeles adds to its Hollywood appeal. Popular activities include sea cave exploring, mountain biking, and dining at well-known restaurants. The Malibu Pier was named the first World Surfing Reserve; nearby Zuma Beach is a sun magnet for locals and families. To the west, the well-known Surfrider Beach played an important part in the history of surfing in Southern California. Malibu Lagoon State Park, farther west, is where the waters of Malibu Creek and the Pacific Ocean converge.
