Suomenlinna
Suomenlinna is a prominent tourist destination in Finland that is located on six islands: Kustaanmiekka, Suisaari, Iso-Mustasaari, Pikku Mustasaari, Lansi-Mustasaari, and Langoren. Because of its historical significance, the place is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
The island archipelago, which has great environmental beauty in six separate sections, is best experienced by ferry voyage from Helsinki. The stronghold was constructed in the 18th century and was once an important feature of European military architecture.
The stronghold, which was built to protect the Kingdom of Sweden from the Russian Empire, has seen many bloody fights throughout the years.
