Super Metroid is a timeless masterpiece that has been widely praised as one of the finest games of all time and a crucial blueprint for many subsequent games to follow. Samus gives the Metroid hatchling to researchers shortly after the events of Metroid 2. However, the facility is assaulted by space pirates minutes afterward, sending Samus back to the planet Zebes.
