Take an easy-going hike on the Ryan Mountain Trail

Ryan Mountain offers a simple out-and-back climb to the mountain's spherical summit and is situated in the center of Joshua Tree National Park. Over a 3-mile roundtrip journey, a dirt path is lined with stone stairs that reach 1,050 feet.

A sun-exposed trail that provides breathtaking views of the surrounding jumbled rock formations and Joshua tree forests sits atop the 5,457-foot summit. The top of Ryan Mountain is the best location to get a bird's eye view of the park's core.

One of the most well-liked routes in Joshua Tree is the Ryan Mountain Trail. This short, steady slope leads to Joshua Tree's second-highest peak. You shouldn't be concerned about taking your kids up Ryan Mountain; they will still have a blast.

The track is well-traveled and simple to follow, though it is still a little uneven in spots. Despite the rocky ground and numerous pebbles, pause for a moment to observe the surrounding area. The Wonderland of Rocks unfolds before your eyes in a split second. Because of the steep rise on this route, it's crucial to focus on the scenery rather than your tired legs as you ascend.
