Take Your English Communication Skills to the Next Level

This English communication skills course focuses on and expands on the communication and content abilities you've developed throughout the specialization. You will practice and expand the language skills required for professional success during course classes and Peer Assessments. You will have the option to complete evaluations that are relevant to the workplace throughout the course.

In this course, you will study cultural influences on communication in greater depth, identify key cultural influences in your own experience, and compare your culture to another to identify ways to improve communication and reduce misunderstandings, develop your email accuracy and style, and engage in email correspondence with potential employers, clients, or investors to set up interviews and/or meetings and practice.

You'll also polish your pronunciation by using more related speech, such as through groups, contractions/reductions, and linking, as you prepare and make a short talk about a personal accomplishment or "Sales Pitch" for a product or service.
Week by week, as you improve your language abilities, create relationships with people who matter to you, and expand your network, your chances of success will improve. This Capstone Project will assist you in achieving your current and future English language and professional goals.
