Tricky English Grammar

English is a challenging language to learn due to its numerous subtle grammatical rules, which are very easy to misunderstand - even by fluent speakers. While complicated grammatical rules can easily overwhelm non-native speakers, in this course, they'll provide you with ideas to help you comprehend the rules better and give you plenty of experience with the challenging syntax of everyday English. This is the third course in the intermediate grammar specialization in Learn English. Learning English can be difficult, and in this session, you'll focus on some of the most difficult aspects of the language. You'll get comprehensive explanations and practice applying the challenging grammatical elements correctly.

Tricky nouns, articles, and quantifiers will all be discussed in this Tricky English Grammar course. When is it appropriate to use "a" or "the" in front of a noun? When is it appropriate to put nothing in front of a noun? You'll discover the answers to these questions in this module, as well as plenty of practice to help you correctly employ nouns and articles.

You will still have the opportunity to learn some difficult grammar. First, you'll learn how to correctly use gerunds and infinitives. Then you'll learn how to make requests and ask for permission, which is a skill that many English learners overlook. Then you will learn about some commonly misunderstood word forms. You will soon be able to tell the difference between several seemingly indistinguishable pairs of words.
