Tamiya Incorporated, known as 株式会社タミヤ (Kabushiki gaisha Tamiya) in Japanese, is a prominent Japanese manufacturer specializing in the production of plastic model kits, radio-controlled cars, educational models powered by batteries and solar energy, sailboat models, acrylic and enamel model paints, as well as various tools and supplies for modeling. The company was established by Yoshio Tamiya in Shizuoka, Japan, in 1946.
