The Tea Spot was founded in 2004 by Maria Uspenski and is based in Colorado. Maria, who had survived cancer, was drawn to the health benefits of whole leaf tea while she was recovering. She promotes tea in its purest form because it offers premium flavors as well as significant health benefits.

The Tea Spot now specializes in gourmet loose tea with signature blends, as well as handcrafted and single estate full leaf tea. They give 10% of their profits to cancer and community wellness programs. Its primary mission is to promote health and wellness through tea.
