Ten Shadows Technique

The Zenin Family has passed down the Ten Shadows Technique through the generations. This method allows the user to call ten different shikigami by using shadows as a middleman. The illustrious Zenin family employs the powerful and antiquated Ten Shadows Technique. Using this technique, the user can summon ten shikigami familiars, each of which has a unique set of abilities and characteristics. As faithful comrades and fierce combatants, the shikigami fight alongside the user in conflicts with curses and other sorcerers.


Two Divine Dogs are given to the person who inherits the Ten Shadows Technique. Other shikigami can be called forth through an exorcism ceremony, but first the user must subdue the summoned shikigami. Once controlled, the shikigami are completely under the master's control and can be called upon by making shadow graphic hand gestures that manifest as a shadow puppet of the appropriate familiar. The user's hand-woven shadow puppet is reflected in the shadows, which then employ cursed energy to create the shikigami from palpable liquid shadows in order to perform the shikigami conjuration.
