The Alexandria Ballrooms
The Alexandria Ballrooms is a classic wedding venue in Los Angeles, California. Built in 1906, these lavish dining halls have hosted a plethora of special occasions, including Charlie Chaplin's wedding ceremony. They have hosted presidents and Hollywood celebrities throughout the years, and have appeared in music videos for artists such as Beyoncé and Nicki Minaj. These ballrooms create a stunning background for your night of unrivaled luxury and style.
The Alexandria Ballrooms features three stunning ballrooms for your ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The Palm Court has arched ceilings, crystal chandeliers, Tiffany skylights, and ornate wainscoting and can accommodate 260 guests. The neighboring Cocktail Lounge has a built-in bar and a private grand entrance with a red carpet. The King Edward Ballroom has gold leaf ceilings, crystal chandeliers, floor-to-ceiling windows, and vaulted skylights and can seat 200 people sitting. Finally, the Mezz, the largest ballroom, can host 500 people for receptions and has an industrial-chic feel. Exposed brick walls, elaborate wrought iron wall sconces and lighting fixtures, and a marble staircase characterize this banquet hall. The room also has a wall of windows that floods the hardwood flooring with light and provides stunning views of the neighboring ancient buildings.
When you rent The Alexandria Ballrooms, you will have access to the venue for a period of 15 hours. Two dressing rooms, 72-inch round tables, eight-foot banquet tables, cocktail tables with stools, and white Chiavari chairs are included in rental packages. Outside vendors and caterers are permitted; however, they must be licensed and insured. Caterers can utilize the on-site kitchen and bar to prepare their food.
