The American International School Kuwait
The American International School Kuwait (AISK) is a private independent day school with pupils ranging from pre-kindergarten to grade twelve. AISK is governed by a Board of Owners, which functions similarly to a school board in the United States.
AISK is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Continuum School, fully authorized for the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP). Students are at the center of teaching and learning at AISK, and they are viewed as critical to the growth and development of students, staff, and the AISK community.
The educational part of the organization is organized into three divisions: elementary (PK-4), middle (5-8), and high school (9-12), and leadership and teaching teams are accommodated within and across those levels. The Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools (MSA) reaccredited AISK in 2013, which was renewed in May 2017.
The International Baccalaureate Organization (IB) has fully authorized the American International School to deliver the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and Diploma Programme (DP).
This distinguishes AIS as one of just 276 schools worldwide to provide a continuum of IB programs. Offering three consecutive programs enables the development of learners through intentional transitions and consistent approaches to conceptual thinking and personal responsibility.
American International School Kuwait hires qualified, experienced teachers and leaders with North American comparable degrees who are licensed or certified through one of the many international recruitment agencies, both in person and remotely. Except for Arabic, Islamic Studies, and language acquisition professors, all AISK faculty speak English as their first language.
There are various options for kids to participate in a range of extracurricular activities during the school year. AIS provides diverse options, including the arts, drama, athletics, community service, and much more. Participating in an extracurricular activity helps kids become more engaged in academics, form new and lasting friendships, and boost their self-confidence.
