The Breaker
Popular South Korean manhwa series "The Breaker" was created by Jeon Geuk-jin and drawn by Park Jin-Hwan. It was published in serial form in the magazine "Young GanGan" from 2007 to 2010, and ten volumes of it were later compiled. The manhwa's action-packed plot and martial arts elements helped it become quite famous. The narrative centers on Shi-Woon Yi, a high schooler who experiences persistent bullying from his peers. He runs across Chun-Woo Han, a mystery martial arts master, who one day defends him from some thugs. Shi-Woon is enamored by Chun-Woo's abilities and urges him to become his student.
Shi-Woon is finally convinced to become Chun-Woo's student after originally rejecting the idea. Shi-Woon discovers the Murim, a community of martial artists with extraordinary abilities, as he ventures into the shadowy realm of martial arts clans and secret organizations. Though his life and the future of people he loves about are in peril, Shi-Woon quickly finds himself caught up in a conflict between rival martial arts clans.
The film "The Breaker" is renowned for its thrilling battle sequences, complex storylines, and well-rounded characters. The manhwa examines issues including fidelity, friendship, development, and the lust for power. To make a compelling narrative, it blends aspects of action, drama, and supernatural powers. The plot of "The Breaker" is continued in "The Breaker: New Waves," which builds on the events of the first series. The sequel, which has 20 volumes, was serialized from 2010 to 2015. Both "The Breaker" and its follow-up have devoted followings and have received accolades for their gripping plots and dramatic artwork. It is important to note that, as of the knowledge cutoff date in September 2021, no official statements on the continuation or conclusion of the series have been made.
