The Economist
The Economist is a weekly worldwide newspaper published in demitab style and online that focuses on current events, international business, politics, technology, and culture. The Economist Group owns the daily, which is based in London and has key editorial offices in the United States, as well as major cities across continental Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Its average worldwide print readership in 2019 was over 909,476; when combined with its digital presence, this totaled over 1.6 million. As of 2016, it reached 35 million people through its social media channels. To both criticism and appreciation, the publication places a strong emphasis on data journalism and analysis above original reporting.
This venerable journal has been around for a long time (since 1843!) and brings an informed perspective on the world at your door every week. Its pages provide in-depth articles on politics, economics, science and technology, and other subjects, as well as business and finance.
With a membership to The Economist, you'll feel as if you have a firm grasp on the issue, whether it's a local or global consequence, whatever it is. If you subscribe to both the print and digital editions of The Economist, you'll also receive The Economist Espresso, a daily morning briefing from the magazine's editors.
