The Legend of Qin is a Chinese historical drama series that is based on a popular martial arts animation film of the same name. The series depicts the turbulent events and heroic stories that took place at the end of the Warring States period and the beginning of the Qin dynasty.
The series follows the lives of several characters, such as Jing Ke, a loyal assassin who tries to kill King Zheng of Qin, the ambitious ruler who unifies China under his iron fist; Gao Jianli, a talented musician and Jing Ke's best friend; Tian Ming, a young boy who inherits the bloodline of the ancient gods; Ge Nie, a legendary swordsman who protects Tian Ming; Duanmu Rong, a princess of the Duanmu clan and Tian Ming's love interest; Xiang Yu, a powerful general who leads a rebellion against Qin; and Liu Bang, a commoner who becomes the founder of the Han dynasty.
The series blends historical facts with fantasy elements, such as martial arts, magic, and mythical creatures. It showcases the rich culture, history, and philosophy of ancient China, as well as the conflicts, emotions, and dreams of its people.
