The Ludlow
Although a modern bachelorette wouldn't mind sleeping in the Ludlow Hotel, it has the vibe of a downtown bachelor's home. The hotel's minimalist design and slightly gothic interiors pay homage to the Lower East Side, which is known for its vibrant nightlife.
The bathrooms are queen-sized, even though many of the rooms hardly have enough for more than a bed (a huge, delicious bed), and on a clear day, your balcony offers views of One World Trade and all the way down to Brooklyn.
Even though the New Museum, Old St. Patrick's Cathedral, and popular establishments like Beauty and Essex and Back Room are just a short walk away, you don't even need to leave the hotel for delicious drinks. Make time for a lavish dining experience at Dirty French, but have a more laid-back drink and snack in the leather-bound Lobby Bar lounge—and stroll outside in the garden during fine weather.
