The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Kenya
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) of Kenya is a State Corporation wholly subordinate to the Ministry of Oil and Mining, authorized to engage in all aspects of the oil and gas business including including upstream exploration and downstream operations. The group's vision is to be the leading integrated oil and gas company for Kenya and the region.
In upstream exploration, the NOC was tasked with marketing the exploration acreage, managing exploration data, and upgrading the Petroleum Laboratory, as well as setting up a seismic processing center. NOC operates its own exploration area at Block 14T located in the Tertiary Rift Basin (Magadi Sub-Basin).
NOC has an active downstream business with a growing retail network spread across the country. NOC owns and operates a state-of-the-art petroleum depot that serves the needs of the Corporation and provides hospitality to the petroleum companies. The company trades the 'National Oil' brand with the 'Supa' branded product range including SupaGas, the SupaLubes line of lubricants and the SupaCard fleet management system.
