The Ruins Of Marib
Marib is one of Yemen's historic monuments, and historians believe it is the ancient Sheba recorded in the Bible. There are numerous ancient ruins in this area that date back several years before Jesus Christ's birth. The throne of Balquis, the moon god of Arab mythology, is the most famous ruin. The throne, which dates from the 8th century BC, is today represented by five vertical, massive columns.
Aside from this, there was an ancient dam that was built about the same time as the throne of Balquis and the Marib temple. Sanaa is 120 kilometers away from Marib.
