The University of Edinburgh, UK
The University of Edinburgh was established in 1583 as a public university. Edinburgh, Scotland's capital and one of the country's main cities, is home to its five campuses. The primary administrative buildings and library, as well as humanities and social science facilities, are located on the university's Central Area Campus. The King's Buildings, Easter Bush, Little France, and Western General Hospital campuses are other locations of this university. Students from outside Scotland and the European Union pay more in tuition.
The university comprises three colleges with a total of 20 schools: arts, humanities, and social science; medical and veterinary medicine; and science and engineering. The academic calendar of the university is semester-based, and English is the main language of instruction.
