Tomato Festival
The Tomato Festival, as vague as it may sound, is a very popular annual event that takes place in September in the village of Shngjergj. The village is only a short distance from Tirana, but the road through the beautiful Priska Pass is breathtaking. Local traditions and cultural performances can be enjoyed, as well as plenty of delicious locally grown food, including tomatoes! Check out the folk dance and music, and you'll find plenty of small trinkets and handcrafted souvenirs to take home with you.
The festival will clearly show Albanian culture, which is why the tomato festival is known as one of the most famous festivals in Albania. There will be cultural performances as well as many delicious local dishes, particularly tomatoes, at the festival. Not only that, but the festival also includes folk dances, making it not only unique but also diverse. As a result, the tomato festival has drawn thousands of tourists.
